National Children's Hospital
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Date:October 2022
A national referral hospital in Dublin and a flagship project for Ireland, bringing together the pediatric services of existing hospitals (Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght) in a state-of-the-art facility on the St. James's campus, with the aim of becoming a global center of care.
Its design was led by the international firm BDP (Building Design Partnership) in association with O'Connell Mahon Architects (OCMA), winning a competition in 2014 to create an advanced pediatric center. Architecturally, one of its most notable features is the construction of the oval pavilion roof that connects the two wings of the hospital.
For the construction of this connection, the company FBA GOMYL S.L. commissioned the bending work toROIG CURVADO DE PERFILES S.A. due to its experience and the quality required, carrying out the edge, flat, and conical bending of the 124x43 aluminum profiles with variable radii.
